Our Friday night plans fell through so at the last minute Allison and I decided to hit a movie at the Route One Cinema Pub. We ended up seeing Batman Begins. Seeing it a second time was even better than the first. What a cool movie. The story was great. The character development was very well paced. The lines were over the top but delivered so well. I think now that Christian Bale is the best Batman so far. I can’t wait till Superman Returns comes out. Two great icons and two great movies.

My mother found this while cleaning out the items that were in Uncle Richard’s house. It is a special issue put out by Marvel comics in 1982 about Pope John Paul II. I read it today and it was very interesting. I’ve got a couple of books by the Pope including a book of poems that he wrote. Reading this comic I found out that he wrote many of the poems at the time when Poland was occupied by the Nazis. And later they were published under a pseudonym.
