Photo-A-Day #1320

Yesterday I went to pick up my photos at the Bellingham Library. I hadn’t been there since I dropped off the photos. I just never got a chance to go to the library for the opening. When I walked in the woman there asks me if I was picking up photos, I was. Then she said okay they are on the wall just take them down and bring them here. I walked over and saw one of mine with a red ribbon next to it, 2nd Place. That was the photo from Photo-A-Day #1000 plus all the photos from my 1st 500 Photo(s)-A-Day in the background. Then I found my photo of the Oregon Farm and that too had a 2nd place ribbon with it. I said, “Huh, wow that is pretty cool.” The woman there heard me and asked if I had been there before to see all the paintings. I was embarrassed to say I hadn’t. I certainly should have been to the opening.

It was a small show but there were a bunch of people who entered. It gave me a little confidence to actually go out and try some other things. I’ll be entering more of these in the future.

Many people have inquired about a 2009 Photo-A-Day calendar. I will take a look at what I have from the past year and see if I have 12 photos I’d like to put into a calendar. Want to help me out? Take a look through my Photo-A-Day 2008 Flickr set and tell me your favorite 12 photos. Just Fav them on Flickr. If you can please spread the word about this through Twitter, Facebook, Etc.

Zenni Optical: Great glasses for all

Ted Murphy's Vision Restored My Sight

No, Ted Murphy is not a healer or anything he just founded PayPerPost and subsequently IZEA and got bloggers getting paid to blog about the things they love and then recruited advertisers like Zenni Optical that I blogged about and then purchased glasses from and now I no longer have to wear my sunglasses at night. Great song but a terrible thing to do in practice.
