BenSpark’s 2009 Photo-A-Day Calendar

Back by popular demand is the yearly Photo-A-Day calendar. I wasn’t sure if I was going to do one but I received quite a few requests to make one. Last year I raised money for the Machinski Family by selling my 2008 Photo-A-Day calendars. This year I am raising money for The Relay for Life. Allison is a team captain and both of us will be participating along with Eva.

I ran a little contest to help me choose the 12 best photos for the calendar. I received a lot of great suggestions and I took many of them. I also picked a few that I really liked. I created the calendar at lulu.com again and it is easy for you to order. Here are the photos that make up the calendar.

Daddy Ducky... PAD #1161
Sky in New England - PAD #1012 Meerkat at the Zoo - PAD #1009 Editables... PAD #1166
Frog Prince PAD #1163 Beach Babes... PAD #1144 Life is like... PAD #1164
Waves crash... PAD #1135 Black Eye Cool Blue... PAD #1079
The other side of the glass Up 'Round the Bend Saturation... PAD #1190

So, who won a copy of the calendar?

Congratulations to Anna of Beth & Cory’s Mom

See How They Sparkle
Photo-A-Day #1333

Dad put up the Christmas lights this past week. I was out shooting the Moon (heh), Venus and Jupiter. The three heavenly bodies are in a tight formation. When I arrived home I looked up and could see them quite well so I took this shot with my camera and telephoto lens. I took it freehand without the tripod and this was the best of the bunch.

Moon, Jupiter and Venus

With the tripod I got nothing great but then again by the time I got the tripod I was unable to see the moon anymore and waited till it came out from behind some clouds.

Moon, Jupiter and Venus in Clouds

Short post tonight as I need to finish the 2009 Photo-A-Day Calendar and announce the winner of a free copy.
