Review: Peter Pan Diamond Edition Blu-ray

We watched the Diamond Edition Blu-ray of Peter Pan this afternoon. Eva enjoyed most of the movie but she has always been afraid of Captain Hook. The only version of Captain Hook that she is not afraid of is the one from Jake and the Never Land Pirates. She was also afraid of the Indians. She loved so many portions of the movie but since she’s a sensitive kid overall she said that she didn’t like the movie. I’m just pretty sure that she couldn’t separate the scenes with Hook with the fact that everything works out in the end. Continue reading Review: Peter Pan Diamond Edition Blu-ray

Coloring Together

Photo-A-Day #2859

Andrew found a couple of fat crayons this afternoon and was carrying them all over the house. Eva took out her “Fashion book” and colored with Andrew in that book. He was so excited to color with Eva. He was laughing and smiling and having a great time. It is so fun to watch the kids play together and have fun. They are super sweet with each other.

We’ve noticed that Eva is getting more and more proficient with art. She painted an amazing couple of images in watercolor today. One of them is easily recognizable as Mulan and another as Ariel. She colored in the activity pages for Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man DVD that is coming out on Tuesday. The way she colored it was impressive to me because instead of the traditional blue and red she made the image look like a negative. It was really interesting to see her interpretation.
