Yoda to the Rescue

Photo-A-Day #3719

I know that these toys are not the proper representation of the scene in Star Wars. The Yoda is too old and those are Storm Troopers and not Clones. But a guy at work brought in the Republic Gunship so I figured I’d do some sort of representation with my figures.

I’ve been watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Netflix and getting more and more into Star Wars. The cartoon really good. I’m not sure if I’m going to let the kids watch it yet because characters do end up dying. I’m only on season one but it is really well done.

I’m becoming more and more excited about the return of Star Wars Rebels next weekend and then Episode 7 this Christmas. I think with the countdown calendar it has made me even more excited for the Star Wars toys. I never had them at all when I was a kid and I guess I’m making up for lost time.

PBS KIDS INVITES FAMILIES TO JOIN A SUMMER SAFARI OF LEARNING

On-air programming, digital resources, partnerships and community activities provide opportunities for kids and families to learn and explore all summer long

ARLINGTON, VA, June 9, 2015 – This summer, PBS KIDS is encouraging kids and their families to continue learning beyond the school year with a “Summer Safari” of content and activities. Developed to help bridge the summer learning gap, PBS KIDS’ Summer Safari includes specials and new episodes from DINOSAUR TRAIN, WILD KRATTS, CURIOUS GEORGE and WORDGIRL, free digital tools for parents and kids, and partnerships with AARP Foundation Experience Corps, I Can Read books published by Harper Collins Children’s Books, Reading Is Fundamental and National PTA that bring learning activities directly to communities.

“Research shows that it is critical to support children’s learning during the summer months to help prevent learning loss while they are out of school,” said Lesli Rotenberg, General Manager, Children’s Media, PBS. “PBS KIDS and our member stations are committed to making summer a fun and enriching time for all kids. Through this year’s Summer Safari programming, national partnerships and community activities, we will provide free PBS KIDS resources to families, helping them learn and explore during the summer months.” Continue reading Monday Kicks off the PBS Kids Summer Safari
