The Sleepover

The Sleepover
Photo-A-Day #4716

Since we already knew that tomorrow would be a snow day we said yes to Andrew’s request to sleep on Eva’s floor. The kid has wanted to be able to have a sleepover for such a long time. He’s seen Eva have them and has wanted to be able to go on them, too. He’s still too young for it, but he can certainly sleep a night on Eva’s floor. He was over the moon about that. They didn’t even stay up all night, so that was good, too.

I’m glad that the kids did this, and Eva let Andrew stay with her. She’s starting to want more time to herself and at the same time he just wants to be with her and do everything he can to spend time with her. I hope that she lets him in but I think she’s just naturally going to pull away for a while. Let’s hope that they have the foundation to always be able to help each other and have fun.

LEGO STAR WARS: THE FREEMAKER ADVENTURES Season 2 DVD Review and Giveaway

LEGO Star Wars The Freemaker Adventures Season 2 DVD COVER

I received a copy of the new DVD LEGO star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures for free to watch and review. I also have five additional copies to give away. Opinions are 100% my own.

When I first learned about the LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures I was excited. I had watched all the other LEGO Star Wars specials but those were based on the movies and told the stories from different perspectives in the humorous way that LEGO can. The Freemaker Adventures was also a show that would have the humor of LEGO and be set in the Star Wars Galaxy but these would be all new stories with new characters. The time in which these stories are set is during the beginning of the Rebellion from the original trilogy of movies. However, the story draws upon so many aspects of the Star Wars mythology. We spend time with many familiar faces between seasons 1 & 2 but in season 2 the Freemakers are now part of the Rebel fleet and are working directly with the rebels.

One funny part of this season was the introduction of M-OC an agent of the Emperor. The funny thing is that M.O.C. means something in the LEGO community and at the same time the spelling of M-OC makes it a droid designation. In the LEGO world M.O.C. stands for My Own Creation. Working with Brian on Built from Bricks I have learned a lot of LEGO lingo and I love how they put that into the Star Wars Universe. I also liked how there were some special LEGO sets made based on this series, the Arrowhead ship was particularly awesome but even the Freemaker’s ship was an impressive build.

The DVD has the complete season and final season plus it also has five bonus shorts.

Speaking of the number five. I have Five copies of the DVD to give away to anyone in the US who is interested in winning one. To win, just enter through the Rafflecopter widget right below. After that you can learn more about the DVD release.
