“Try Everything” A New Single by Shakira for Zootopia

Shakira - Try Everything

Shakira has released her new single “Try Everything” for Zootopia along with a new video that shows some great footage of the upcoming movie. Eva, Andrew and I already know quite a bit about Zootopia because we read the book about it that we received from Disney Publishing. In it we learned the whole story of the movie and despite knowing how it all turns out we want to see the full movie when it hits theaters. I think the music and images are going to be fantastic. There is much more to tell than the start to finish plot in the book. The humor and all the imagery of a world made for animals is going to be something spectacular to see. But before you see the movie on March 4, you can check out the animal superstar Gazelle voiced by Shakira and her single “Try Everything”.

Seeing this video makes me even more excited to see the movie. I know the kids are going to love it. They have had me read the books to them a couple of times now. There is the book that has the plot of the movie and a second book that is for younger kids that shows Judy Hopps trying to solve a little mystery. You can read more about the movie below and also you can get the single, “Try Everything” by Gazelle, AKA Shakira via iTunes.

The all-new original song, “Try Everything,” was written by singer-songwriter Sia and songwriting duo Stargate.

Director Byron Howard said, “For the role of Gazelle, Zootopia’s most beloved superstar, there was only one person on our wish list: Shakira. Luckily for us, she said yes. Her immense talent and charm bring Gazelle and her song, ‘Try Everything,’ to life.”

The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when rookie Officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia,” a comedy-adventure directed by Byron Howard (“Tangled,” “Bolt”) and Rich Moore (“Wreck-It Ralph,” “The Simpsons”) and co-directed by Jared Bush (“Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero”), opens in theaters on March 4, 2016.

Officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin), the very first bunny on Zootopia’s police force, jumps at the opportunity to crack her first case—even if it means partnering with fast-talking, scam-artist fox Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman) to solve the mystery.
