Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice – My Take

Spending time playing LEGO together
Photo-A-Day #4001

Allison and the kids had no school today so everyone was home. They had a day planned out of the house so that I could get some rest before work. That was so nice of them, however, I didn’t do that. Instead I went to see Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice with my Dad. It was a very last minute decision on my part. I was at the house and the kids were having a visit with our friends and their kids. I was doing a few things around the house like pulling together all the crib and baby stuff that we no longer needed so that we could donate it to some people who needed it. I just figured that I would catch the movie before I heard the reviews from all the critics. I wanted to form my own opinion and it was pretty low going into the movie. You can see what I thought of it from the video below.

We tried to sleep in a bit this morning but Andrew was up early and wanted to go downstairs. We got him to play with the Samsung Kid’s Tablet for a while and I watched an episode of Daredevil while Allison got some sleep. Then I went and picked up some bagels and coffee from Honey Dew. Then we cleaned the house for our visitors. While Eva and Andrew played this morning I snapped today’s Photo-A-Day.

I called my Dad to catch up and told him that I was going to see Batman V. Superman. I asked him if he wanted to go. He did so I picked him up and we headed to the movies. I think that we both came out of the movie enjoying it. While it could have been better it wasn’t a bad movie overall. There were lots of good parts to it.

I came home and read the Transformers: Deviations comic that explores what would have happened had Optimus Prime not died in the Transformers movie of 1986. It was an okay tale. I like what IDW is doing with this Deviations one-shots. Tomorrow I’ll read G.I. Joe and next week I’ll pick up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
