My Last New York Slice
Photo-A-Day #4111

I said goodbye to Tim this morning as he headed off to his train and then his flight home. After that I went back to the room and hung out for a while. I tried to get a little more sleep but that didn’t quite happen. So I eventually got my stuff together, I was able to pack pretty much everything including a giant box that Adam Cohen got for me at Sweet Suite. I did not think that that would be coming home with me but it did.

It was somewhat warm when I started out on my trek back to Penn Station. It was a nice morning to walk along and I rigged up the bags so it was easy to walk with them. I try to walk as much as possible when in New York.

I had to get another slice of New York Pizza, which I did at the train station. Then it was time to get on the train.

The wifi was out so I did not get a chance to do much work on my laptop but I did turn on my hotspot in order to do some things on the laptop. I was distracted though. The guy behind me continued to hum the entire trip. It was so distracting.

The trip was mostly uneventful and I took the time to post a bunch of images to Instagram. However, when we got 10 minutes away from Providence we came to a complete stop. We sat there on the track for the next hour and a half. I was annoyed. I understand that there are delays. In this situation one of the lights was messed up telling us that we could not proceed. Then, once the light was fixed we still could not proceed. I had to blast my headphones so I didn’t snap on the the people on the train, not because of the issue with the train but because of the reaction of the other riders. You get the complainers, the experts and the Monday morning quarterbacks.

For me personally, I would have liked to have gotten home at 2:30 as expected. Maybe get to leisurely unpack the things from Blogger Bash and maybe even get a little rest before heading to work. Instead I was super keyed up and flew in, dumped out all my swag, got annoyed at the kids and flew back out the door where I would be in bad shape all night. We did, at least, stop for a few minutes and listen to another chapter of Harry Potter. But I would have rather been back home with 2 hours of time instead of getting home two hours late.

I was soehwat productive on the train. I redesigned my title images for Youtube. What do you think?
