Review: DUCKTALES: DESTINATION ADVENTURE! on DVD

DuckTales Destination Adventure

The original DuckTales cartoon came out in 1987 when I was still in grade school. I watched that, Chip and Dale’s Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck and Tailspin. Disney had a good thing going with those after school cartoons. Now I can share the excitement of DuckTales with my kids through the all new show on Disney Channel. We were sent a DVD with six different episodes of the new show and also included were two bonus episodes from the classic cartoon.

The kids discovered the new DuckTales cartoon on their own and they got a big kick out of it. I watched along with them and where I was given the chance to review this DVD I was excited because of the classic episodes. We watched one of the episodes together, New Gizmo-Kids on the Block, and, while it was funny and had that classic nostalgia, I tend to like the new show more. The three boys are more well defined as characters and I can tell the voices apart. I also like what they have done with Webby. She is a character with more depth.

Despite liking the new show more I did enjoy a trip down memory lane and I enjoy sharing things from my childhood with the kids. It is fun that they have DuckTales of their own to enjoy.

The DVD that we received comes out on Tuesday June 5th. I have all the information below.
