Eva is getting ready for our Pirate Pizza Party tomorrow. I picked up a bunch of candy to put in the treasure chest pinata. Now I just have to figure where to secure it so the kids can bash it to pieces to get the sugary goodness inside. Well, I figure it out. Eva was very excited to help with this task. After it was done we had to sing and dance around it like Jake and the Never Land Pirates do. Which is appropriate because that is what the kiddos are going to watch tomorrow and the parents will get copies of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides on DVD and Blu-Ray.
Today we also made lunch from the recipes from Flatout Flatbreads and Hungry Girl. I made the Bugs in a Blanket. They were really easy to make. You use the Flatout Flatbread Sliders, 3 hot dogs, and a ton of pretzel sticks. MY personal touch was the olives for eyes on the bugs that I made for myself and for Eva. Here is how they came out. Pretty fun.
The rest of the day was spent writing up some blog post reviews and fighting the tide of leaves that are falling in the back yard. Those trees that give us amazing shade and coolness in the summer are starting to bury us now in the Fall. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Oh yeah and I played Skylanders. Man do I love that game!
