Baking Betty Crocker Molasses Cookies with Eva

Photo-A-Day #2343

This morning Eva and I made cookies. As part of a MyBlogSpark blogger trial and review I received a package of Betty Crocker® Molasses Cookie mix, an apron, a mixing spoon and a non-stick cookie sheet.

Betty Crocker Molasses

I loved the cookie sheet. I don’t know if it was me following the directions to the letter or the new gas stove or the cookie sheet but the cookies came out perfect! Eva and I set up everything that we needed to mix up a batch of these delicious molasses cookies. We donned our aprons. Eva with her special apron (we still don’t know who sent it) and I wore the Betty Crocker one that was sent to me.

Mixing up the batch of cookie dough was super simple. It was just the package of cookie mix, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of water and one stick of butter. I hadn’t softened the butter so I cut it up and microwaved it 15 seconds at a time till it was soft. I then mixed up the dough and let Eva help me out with that too. Once the dough was all mixed up I spooned it on to the cookie sheet.

Once the cookies were done baking (I opted for 350 degrees for 9 minutes). I took them out and plated them so that Eva and I could enjoy some fresh baked molasses cookies and milk and Eva’s latest favorite movie, How To Train Your Dragon. We thought the cookies were delicious and would certainly make them again.

We also have been given the option to share a Betty Crocker® Molasses Cookie mix prize pack which includes a Betty Crocker apron, non-stick baking pan, and mixing spoon, with one reader of BenSpark.com. But we also have a Molasses Cookies online coupon to share with everyone. It is for $0.75 off Betty Crocker Molasses Cookie Mix.

  1. I definitely would like to try the “Bottom of the Cereal Box” cookies. We don’t buy the overly sweet “kids'” cereals, but I bet it would be good with the cereals we do buy (corn flakes, raisin bran, Chex, even shredded wheat).

P.S. – We have a gas stove in our new place, too. Love it; it’s really the only way to cook and bake.

  2. It sure looks delicious. Whoever it is sent you that was thinking that you could do a great job with making their product fabulously marketed. Yet for sure your daughter must have loved it.
