Photo-A-Day #2127

Tonight I attended a special event at The Melting Pot in Framingham, MA with the Boston Parent Bloggers. There were about 20 of us who attended the event. We sampled four cheese fondues and four chocolate fondues. It was delicious! Great people and great food!

The Four Cheese fondues were:

Spinach Artichoke Cheese Fondue
Fontina and Butterkäse cheeses, spinach, artichoke hearts and garlic

Fiesta Cheese Fondue
Cheddar cheese with lager beer, jalapeño peppers and salsa made as spicy as you like

Wisconsin Trio Cheese Fondue
Fontina, Butterkäse and Buttermilk Bleu cheeses with white wine, scallions and a hint of sherry

Traditional Swiss Cheese Fondue
Gruyère and Emmenthaler Swiss cheeses, white wine, garlic, nutmeg, lemon and Kirschwasser

The Melting Pot Cheese Fondue

Out of all of them my favorite was the Spinach Artichoke Cheese Fondue with the Fiesta Cheese Fondue coming in a close second. We had fresh breads, vegetables and apples for dipping.

Cookies and Cream Fondue and Tasty Dipables!

For our Chocolate Fondues we had:

Pure Chocolate
Milk chocolate melted for the most pure of all chocolate fondues

Creme Brulee and White Chocolate
I’m not sure exactly what is in this one, I couldn’t find it on the menu, it was good but too thin.

The Original
Features our signature milk chocolate with a swirl of crunchy peanut butter

Cookies ‘n Cream Marshmallow Dream
Dark chocolate topped with marshmallow cream, flambéed, swirled together and garnished with crushed Oreo® cookies

My favorite was the Cookies ‘n Cream Marshmallow Dream. It was delicious! And these were the Dippers… Fresh strawberries, bananas, cheesecake, Rice Krispies Treats®, marshmallows, pound cake and brownies.

The group was excellent and I had so much fun even if I was the only Dad in the group. I actually like that because I am totally comfortable talking with moms about their blogs and kids and more. I also always have a camera and so that is a great icebreaker too. I met some great people tonight and look forward to the next event.

Here is my set of photos from the event.

The Melting Pot was a great place to have and event and they were wonderful. I’ve been to a Melting Pot before for our anniversary and it was great. I received a $25 gift certificate to come back again and I think that it is almost time to make another visit.

  1. Sorry I missed it! Looks yummy.

I came home with the Blissdom Flu. A few of us had to miss out on fondue. Glad you had fun…there were some lovely ladies there with you…I recognize most.

    1. Kim,

I heard that the blissdom flu was everywhere. We missed you. I did have a great time, the ladies were very welcoming.
