We have a wonderful baby girl, maybe you have seen her on these blog pages. If you haven’t then you haven’t been looking hard enough at all. We are very fortunate that there are family members that are older than Eva who have clothes to help hand down to her. And being first time parent’s on a budget let me tell you, that helps greatly.

Sometimes however sometimes we end up buying a very cute little outfit that is uniquely Eva’s. And when we do so we like to save money. You can spend a fortune on infant clothes and they don’t even wear half of them. We’ve received hand me down clothes that were brand new because the babies grow way to fast. So what are you going to do to save some money and also keep your baby clothed.

Well, I have found a site called Baby Mall Online that not only has a huge selection of well prices baby clothes but also great prices on other essential baby items. The website itself has a great interface and it is very easy to find the essential baby items that you are looking for. They even have a section called Deals where they list out deals from $1 to $5. This is a perfect place to go to get those items that you need multiples of, like bibs. Man, Eva goes through bibs like crazy. Shopping for Baby Clothes…

Today started with a trip to Jaec’s for some Internet access. That was a bit of a time waste as Jaec’s router wasn’t working so good and needed to be unplugged and then plugged back in. I waited about 45 minutes till someone came in that knew what they needed to do. So I rushed the post from earlier today. I got the photos posted and here are quite a few more.

Mom and baby Eva are doing wonderful. They are bonding so well and Eva is a joy and wonder to all who meet her. We come home tomorrow after 1:00pm. We can’t wait for Baby Eva to come home with us. And of course introduce her to Oliver and Duncan. We’ve been bringing clothes and blankets that Eva has been touching so the cats get her scent and accept her, we shall see how that goes.

We had many great visitors yesterday and today. Each one gets a photo taken when they hold little Eva. And all have been very cooperative about having their photo taken to get their hands on this little sweetie. I’m really becoming much more adept at holding her and changing her diapers. Allison also make everything with Eva look easy so I have a lot to live up to.

I had a bunch of photos to upload but after I edited them they all came up as the same one. It is much to late to do that again so no new ones till tomorrow. Except for today’s PAD.

Photo-A-Day #916 10/11/07

Today I fell in love with a wonderful girl. And today was the most perfect day of my life. Allison gave birth to a 8.5lb 8oz 20 1/2in beautiful baby girl named Eva Grace. Eva Grace came rocketing into the world at lightening speed. At 9:30am Allison’s water broke. We were in the car by 9:35am and at the hospital by 9:50am. After about 1 hour and 40 minutes of prep and 20 minutes of pushing Eva Grace came into the world at 12:04pm. Eva Grace is a beautiful girl, so, so beautiful and with a gorgeous full head of hair.

Mother and baby are doing fantastic. And Daddy is hanging in. I took a bunch of photos and we had many visitors. I will upload them tomorrow as I am on dial up and have no way to upload them directly. It has taken me about an hour just to get the one photo up. More tomorrow though. She is beautiful.

Photo-A-Day #915 10/10/07

Weekends like this are great. Allison and I only had to work on our home for two days and in her pregnant state being able to do a little project, rest and do another project was great. We made a good deal of progress in my opinion. We washed a ton of clothes, bedding and other items needed for a baby. We also caught up on most of the shows that we taped last week. We have a couple more to go but should be good for the start of this week.

The photo today is of the crib, the bedding and the blanket and stuff has all been washed. And yes we know that the baby doesn’t get a blanket until the baby is older. It is in there right now so that when anyone visits it looks pretty and all. We also picked up a bunch of our stuff that was left on the registry at Babies R Us. We were going to go to Target but I couldn’t take any more shopping. And I know when I have had enough. I’ll go to Target tomorrow. Later in the afternoon I did some prep work on the bathroom. Nothing major just tearing up some floor but that took a while. Since I was dismantling my Dad’s work it was going to take longer because he builds things to last.

On a weekend like this things slip thought the cracks. Well, at least on this blog they do… On Friday night Allison and I went to visit our friends Neil and Andrea. We hadn’t seen them in a while and went over with some American Chop Suey for them. On Thursday after work I boiled all the pasta, then that night Allison browned the meat and added the sauce. With all our late nights last week we forgot to mention much about that night. I meant to add more about Friday on the Photo-A-Day Post but didn’t get a chance to get back to it. Anyway, we wanted to say that we were very glad to see that Andrea and Neil were doing well. Of course they will most likely see us before we see them, but either way we look forward to seeing them again.

Photo-A-Day #905 09/30/07

Today I got to work early so I could take some photos of the swans that we have in a small pond on the company property. I think in my 6 years with the company they have had quite a few swans come and go. It is always nice to see them as I drive in to park the car. I loved how the light played on the water and there was some steam rising off the water at 6:45am. Unfortunately I could not get that close to them even with the telephoto lens. But I walked around and tried as best I could to get some good shots.

Tomorrow we are having a yard sale at the house. I got home and moved out a bunch of stuff into the garage. MY sister and I poured though boxes and labeled a bunch of things. As we were going through the boxes we came across some old cameras including the one that we both learned our skills on. It was my father’s Pentax K1000 camera. I turned on the flash and it fired up. The front is a bit f=dinged and is missing the right hand cover. But we will put it on the entertainment center after we clean it up, then we will display it so that the dinged side cannot be seen. We also discovered an old canon camera and I took that as well because of the display that we are building with the old cameras. We even discovered an old Popular Photography magazine from 1983. It is funny to look back through those magazines, it was full of cigarette ads as well as some subscription tabs with nudes on them. Very interesting. I took a shot of the camera find.

On an unrelated note I am getting friend requests 4 times a day. And that is really weird. I have been on the platform for a very long time and I don’t want to leave but it is starting to become full of kids (15 & 16) who are there to accumulate tons of friends. I’m looking to meet other photographers who have actual photos and aren’t there to make virtual friends and add them to their virtual friend roundup.

And also of some good news Robert Scoble and his wife Maryam welcomed Milan William Scoble into the world. Thomas Hawk went to visit the family and took some awesome photos and wrote up a post about the visit. Such great photos. Thomas we are having our first baby soon, wanna come to MA and photo document our first 24 hours? Just kidding, I’ll be photographer that day.
