Today I was asked to bring in my camera to take some pictures for work. I was at a different building than the one where I usually work and I sat at someone else’s desk. I like toys, You should see what my desk looks like. And when someone has a toy on their desk I am drawn to it.

This desk had one of those Slinkys that you get from a Trade show. I looked at it and its multicolored coolness. I then through to myself, I wonder what it would look like if I put one end of the slinky over my lens and the other end on the floor. Let me tell you, if you want to screw with your camera’s automatic focus try taking a picture of a slinky through one end. The dang thing wouldn’t stop moving and so the focus went nuts. I switched to manual focus and then took a few pictures. I put a black backed mouse pad on the floor to get that dark tunnel effect.

Allison made a blog post today about some really creative jewelery. She finds some really cool stuff and forwards it to me. I always tell her, “you should blog about this hon.” today she did. Photo-A-Day #747 04/25/07

Tonight I went to Benihana for dinner. I had never been to a Benihana before and the experience was delicious. However, I would have really liked to have gone with a group of people. That would have been much more fun. Now, I know that both Mo and my wife, Allison, are probably thinking about that episode of The Office but I can assure you both that I did not have any reason to be looking for a sharpie marker. If you saw the “A Benihana Christmas” episode of the office that would be hilarious to you right now. And if you haven’t seen it, why not? The show is a riot. Allison and Mo and I talk about it each week on The BenSpark Forum.

Fuel Allison’s Blog

That is correct, Allison has started her own blog. It is called Sparky’s View. And in her own words of description she is going to blog about her new hobby of Knitting, Family and B.E. Makeup, as well as, whatever else comes to mind. Allison is a terrific writer and spend much time behind the scenes cleaning up my atrocious grammar and spelling mistakes that I don’t catch.

Allison also got a sweet camera from yours truly that she will be using to take her own set of pictures to post. While she isn’t committing to a Photo-A-Day she will be posting plenty of pictures as she moves ahead in this new endeavor. So please head over and visit Allison and her new Blog.

You will see some changes around here as I start a site redesign in the near future.

My Wife is now a Blogger…

I bet about 5 hearts stopped at reading this post’s title. No, not a baby name, a blog name. Allison is thinking about starting her own blog and we are stumped at a name for it. The blog is going to be about Bare Essentials Makeup, Photos, Family and probably TV shows. I’m thinking that when she sets up the blog We will do a he said, she said thing again and link to each other’s posts. But the name, the name is escaping us right now and she has had some offers but nothing is really jumping out at her. So leave a comment on this post with your suggestion of a blog name for Allison.

When Allison takes up the mantle of her new blog I will be changing the sub title of this blog to reflect that it is now just my blog. Don’t worry I will still keep everyone up to date with what is going on with both myself and Allison. The site just won’t be called The BenSpark Drew and Allison’s Blog. It will be The BenSpark …. (Something other than Drew and Allison’s Blog)
