Photo-Hunters: Classic 11/02/07

Duncan is using his sniffer on Eva, although she is not at all smelly, but to a kitty she is a ton of new smells to explore.

I appreciate all the comments that everyone has left for me. Even though this is rather far away from Eva and Duncan I do like how the lighting came out. Sometimes home lighting can be tricky but for this shot is was easy because we have yet to put up our blinds, shades or other items so the sunlight streams right into the windows each day and early evening. We need to get the curtains and blinds up soon. Now that the baby is here we should think more about keeping the house warmer and shades on the windows will help that out more.

PhotoHunters : Smelly: 10/13/07

Today’s Photo-A-Day is doing some double duty. The image is of the original changing table that my father built when I was born. Yes, that is the original changing table that my mom and dad used to change the diapers of each of their kids. Then they gave the changing table to my Uncle Dave and Aunt Chris. They used the changing table for their three kids. And now it has come full circle and will be the changing table that we will use for our baby(ies?).

Today Uncle Dave and Aunt Chris came up and brought us the changing table. The baby’s room is pretty much ready, we have to do a lot of wash today and then we will be even closer to being ready. We are very happy and grateful to have this link to my history that can now become part of our history.

Photo-A-Day #904 09/29/07 – PhotoHunters: Original

Plastic, I have little plastic heroes running rampant all over the place. This is Ultra Magnus. He wears a mask on his head, his real head looks like that of Optimus Prime. In one of the best storylines ever it was revealed in Dreamwave comics that Ultra Magnus was hearing body armor and when it was blown to bits he looked just like Optimus Prime and they are in fact brothers. There s one really bada$$ shot of Magnus with the armor all on the ground steaming and smoking and he is out to punish those who attacked him. Back when he was introduced in the movie in 1986 he was a bit of a wuss. He wasn’t the true recipient of the matrix, that went to Hot Rod who later became Rodimus Prime. That also never sat well with me, it should have BumbleBee who became the next Prime. Only because he was the least likely but had the heart of a hero. Of course then what would you call him Bumblemous Prime. Sorry that does not command respect, but then again Rodimus isn’t the best name either.

I took this photo while on the beach last weekend. These are cormorants that like to hang out on a long row of pilings. I also took this picture of a short row of seagulls.
