Christmas is for coffee or it must be the way I see people piling into the local coffee shops to buy packages of the mass produced beans. I myself don’t see the draw of the corporate packages of mass produced beans from the big chains. Christmas is a time when you should be taking care and thought when picking out your gifts for friends and family. So why not pick out some thoughtfully prepared gourmet coffee for the folks on your list.

Think how much higher quality the beans are when they are hand roasted by a master roaster and then packaged while the beans are still warm. Hand roasting small batches helps to release the true essence and aroma of the coffee beans, no mass production can compete with that. One site that sells a wide array of coffee beans is the Carolina Coffee Company. They focus on quality and select only hand picked arabica beans which they store in a temperature controlled clean environment before the small roasting batches are created.

Looking through the site at all the different coffee products I was impressed with the variety of gift baskets available. One of my favorites is called The Moose is Back. This gift basket contains a bunch of delicious items in a hand painted, galvanized moose container. Here is what the basket contains:

There is a half pound bag of our Carolina Christmas Blend signature coffee, a box of creamy-rich white chocolate-covered pretzel balls, four of our “Sweet Java Brown” biscotti, a box of Magnolia Crunchies (a sweet and salty chocolate covered confection), a can of our Katy’s Cocoa, two tins of loose leaf two from “two leaves and a bud”, a box of Mud Puppies (bite-size cookies rich with chocolate chips, flaked oats & pecans), a tin of Moravian spice cookies and a holiday double dipped caramel pecan pretzel rod. Hanging from the side is an ornament filled with chocolate covered sunflower nuts.

The Moose is Back

That sounds delicious. And look at the container for the chocolate covered sunflowers (a treat I have just started to really appreciate) as well as the cute Moose in the Santa Suit. High quality, hand selection, hand painting, care taken, what more could you ask for? Take a look at the Carolina Coffee Company for some Christmas coffee delights.

One of the best gifts I got for Christmas last year was Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee straight from Jamaica. I guess that really doesn’t have anything to do with the Carolina Coffee Company, but I just remembered that and thought I’d share. I am a coffee fiend though so I’ll definitely check these guys out.

That sounds great. I didn’t see Jamaican but there were many other countries.
