Christmas Storytime at Borders

Photo-A-Day #2073

Today we took Eva to Borders for a Christmas Story-time party. It was nice like the Halloween party. A woman read about four books to the kids. Next they made Christmas trees with crayons, glue and stickers. We were there with my Aunt Corrine and her daughter A. Eva and A are such good friends. They go to dancing together play together and just have so much fun.

After our trip to Borders we had a little lunch at McDonalds. (Yeah not a help to my Road to Thin Mission.) Occasionally we’ll take Eva there for a happy meal. She picked the Hello Kitty watch and after we put it on her she asked us every 5 minutes what time it was. The kid cracks me up.

We picked up out Christmas tree after our lunch and took it home. I again overestimated the size of the opening of the tree stand. When I went to put it in the tree stand, it was too big. So as Erik laughed at me I tried a few ways to cut it smaller. Finally just cut it shorter. It fit, it’s up and giving our dining room a wonderful Christmas Tree smell. Decorations will come later.

  1. I love love love the tree!! So pretty…I imagine it smells amazing:) PS-the first picture is adorable! I can totally see Allison in Eva’s smile:) That makes me happy!!

    1. Thanks Mo,

The tree got some surgery but it is standing in our living room right now. I love to top picture too because lately I haven’t been able to get that genuine smile instead I get the scrunched eyes and big teeth coming at me smile that is forced. Good to see her letting loose and capturing that moment.
