Cloth Couture Diaper Giveaway

clothcouture

Allison and I have been giving serious thought to cloth diapers for our second child (no news to report – don’t get excited). In our research for cloth diapers we ran across Cloth Couture Diapers. I liked how cute they were and I asked Allison Vaughn the owner and creator of Cloth Couture Diapers if I could get a sample to try out and then do a review and giveaway on this blog. She was totally game so she sent us a credit and we chose the diaper we wanted. We picked the large Chopsticks Please one. It was so different and fun.

Allison put Eva into this diaper one morning and let her run around the house wearing it. Even though this was something very different for her she took no noticed and went about the morning playing around till she wet the diaper. We didn’t realize that we needed a cover for this. We should have read the Cloth 101 FAQ on Cloth Couture’s website.

Allison Vaughn makes the diapers and they are so well crafted. Everything I’ve read so far has mentioned the excellent craftsmanship and great customer service. Allison Vaughn is really making a name for herself in the world of cloth diapering. I’m pretty sure that cloth will be the way to go for us for baby #2. And for that baby a great starter kit would be the prize that I’m offering through this contest.

The Contest

Allison has donated 3 gender neutral Cloth Couture Organic Bamboo Velour fitteds (fits 10-16lbs). The inside is a beautifully soft organic bamboo velour with a trifold soaker.
– 1 minky waterproof cover, size small.

This is a great starter kit for parents who are interested in getting into cloth. Here is a preview of what those little cuties look like. The bottom one is the Chopsticks Please one!

  1. Ashley,
Cool. I may have had them too, not sure. Thankfully I cannot remember. We’re seriously considering this and I think we are going to make it happen.

  2. I am a pediatric nurse and many families have asked if we have them for their children. Unfortunately we do not have any to offer our patients. It would be a great donation for our unit and for families that are practicing such a great and simple thing such as cloth diapers.

  3. I have loved making the switch to cloth. I really feel like I am saving money. The Cloth Couture diapers are so cute. I would have to go to large fitteds for Tebow (I have a big four month old!) and I love the T-Rex design. Though I would be interested in seeing other options in the AI2s.
.-= Alli´s last blog ..Pictures then and now =-.

  4. My favorite was the fitted TRex Says So diaper. I would love to win anything from this store, it’s all so cute and looks extremely well-made. Thanks for sharing!

  5. I really like the Garden Gnomes Fitted! It is so adorable! I would love to win this as we are struggling to build a stash of diapers for our two little ones! Any help we can get goes a long way! Not to mention the benefits to baby and the enviornment!

  6. Are you kidding me with the garden gnomes? Love it! If she had that in a medium, I’d have bought it right this morning.

Sorry – I see the person above me has that too but I promise it’s not a cop out – I love it. Just to be fair, I also like the ants & cupcakes fitted.
.-= Look at what Andi wrote blog ..7 months =-.

  7. I use cloth diapers on my 5 month old. I love Cloth Couture dipes. And, I want to win!

I’ve used the fitteds, the AI2, and most recently have bought a OS AI2. It rocks my socks off! If I were to win one from Allison’s current stocking, I’d want the I am Metal OS Fitted.

  8. I already follow Cloth Couture on Twitter – chellecostabile. And, Cloth Couture follows me….too bad I never tweet and just go there to read most of the time.

    I want to win!

  9. I love the big pastel dots! Too bad it’s not really ok to put this on my baby boy. We love our Cloth Couture diapers that we have already – but need more!

  10. I used cloth diapers with my first and loved it. I have posted a few entries on cloth diapering here (http://thinkingparents.blogspot.com/2008/05/cloth-diapers-can-be-done.html) and (http://thinkingparents.blogspot.com/2008/07/cloth-diapering-questions.html).

I spent some time on the Cloth Couture Diaper site and I really like the newborn styles. Those tiny babies are really hard to get fitted for cloth and these seem to be designed really well for preventing most leaks. I also like the back of the diaper because that elastic on the back prevents poo from shooting up their backs (I never have figured out why gravity can’t help us out with that one!). I feel like this is a very important feature on newborn diapers. I also love the fabric styles.

As a doula and postpartum care provider I give a lot of people information on cloth diapering and other baby products. So I’m always up for trying out new stuff that I can promote to my clients.

    1. Hi Holli,
Thanks for the comment and entering the contest, however the contest is over. Just to let you know. 🙂 Welcome to my blog though.
