On March 10th I posted about the company Duke Burial Vaults. I designed the company web page and am friends with the people who own the company. They sell a product which is a plastic burial vault. It is 2000% lighter than a concrete vault and stronger than one as well.

Cranky man yelling at his cell phone

Today I received this comment from “digger”.

this junk you call burial vaults are junk//

I decided to approve the wildly untrue comment above because it perfectly illustrates what I was trying to say in yesterday’s FortunateBluFrog post, Strong and Bitter Words Indicate a Weak Cause.

Not only does this person use strong and bitter words, they also write such an unintelligent argument. He/She does not back up his/her claims nor does the person offer his/her own real name nor his/her reasons why he/she believes this claim.

I love that you were able to get a picture of “Digger” I would have made him look more like a pirate of perhaps a coal miner.

Personally I found the vaults thing distrubing. I really don’t want to think about what happens to a body in the ground. Ick the I am sure Duke makes a great product but really I don’t want to do the research. I am glad it is an option but the whole though of ground pressure, air integrity etc freaks me out.

    Tom,
Here is a letter from an engineering service that disputes those claims on the tests run on the “Eonion” Burial Vault.
