    Elise’s Wedding

Friday night was the rehearsal followed by a very nice dinner at the Commissioned Officer’s Club at the Naval Supply Activity in Mechanicsburg. It was a delicious dinner and a very nice evening. After dinner we went to the Elephant & Castle, a pub which was located in our hotel. We got to meet a lot of Elise’s family from Maine and have a few Yuengling Drafts!

At 9:00 the next morning, the bridesmaids converged on City Looks to get all coiffed. It was a lot of fun to hang out with Leis, her sisters Mara and Amy and her friend Erika. (Charles’ sister Deb was a bridesmaid, too, but did her own hair.) We went to Leis’ house to finish getting ready and were off to the church to get in our dresses and have some photos taken.

The ceremony was beautiful. The bride was beautiful. The bridesmaids were beautiful… (he he) We took some pictures afterwards, then did some outdoor photos at the Country Club. Amy was quite the ham, posing for the camera!!

The reception was tons of fun!!! I danced a lot and visited a lot, too. Saying good-byes was the hard part (as always when I leave my SU friends) but I made it out of the Country Club with very few tears.

The pictures below tell the rest of the story!

Hi. Just a heads up. All your posts and pages viewed with IE are shoving the beginning of the post below your meta and Feedburner icons. The post content actually starts below the meta in the left sidebar. Thought you might want to know.

Also, I just made a post on weddings and referenced this post. (great blog by the way). The trackback didn’t go through even though we’re both on Wordpress. You can see the post here:

        Have a great weekend.

        Sincere,

Thanks Betty. I am aware of the IE issue. However I haven’t been able to figure out how to fix it. I use FireFox myself so I often forget about things for the IE crowd.

Thanks for the link. I’m not sure why the trackback didn’t work. I’ll have to look into that.

Hi Drew. It’s really trial and error. My experience with this issue for the theme you’re using is that the “single post” file in your theme is not allowing the a carriage return soon enough.

I use this fix below. Try going to your theme presentation and select your “single post” file.
        Find the code:
Read the rest of this entry »’); ?>

Use the div code below like this:

Read the rest of this entry »’); ?>

This forces all post content to stay skinny. You can adjust the percentage amounts to fit your theme.

It’s worth trying to keep the theme you have cause it looks great.

        Betty

Thanks Betty I will do some work on this to make the site more easy to read in IE.
