Friendship is Magic

Photo-A-Day #2157

I made another purchase from PhotoJojo and it is a Opteka HD2 High Definition Macro/Wide Angle Lens. This lens is great in that it is a combination lens that can be added to any camera with the use of adapter rings. It is native 52mm with a 58mm adapter ring and a 72mm adapter ring. I tried the macro lens on my Sigma 28mm-70mm lens.

Eva has been big on My Little Pony and today’s photo is a close up of Princess Celestia the ruler of Equestria. We were playing with the ponies tonight and having a lot of fun. Eva is so imaginative and she remembers so much. She’s still a little bossy in her play though. We are starting to give her little chores and will be setting up a marble jar to encourage good behavior.

I ended up spending about 2 1/2 hours at Sullivan Tire today because the two tires on my passenger side were flat. I guess the picked up a couple of nails. We’ve been real good about sticking to a budget ever since we did Financial Peace University last year at this time and I was dreading having to dip into the emergency fund. Luckily I bought the Road Hazard Option and when I got my bill, it was for $0.00. Yep, nothing, nada, zip, zilch. I was happy especially since I need to buy a new set very soon.

This is my own personal DSLR camera that I bought half of. My mother-In-Law bought the other half as an investment of great photos of her grandchildren. With over 26,000 photos of Eva and counting, I’d say she got great ROI on the investment. The opinions about them are 100% mine.

  1. *sigh* I remember when My Little Pony had real hair on their top mane too, not just the tail.

    1. Trisha,

Oh they have the ones with hair too. Have you seen what dolls with hair look like after a Three year old gets their hands on them? Pocahantas now has Dreads. Forget Rapunzel, My wife had to put all her hair in a large braid to keep that nice. Yeah they have ones with hair but I big on the none hair ones.

      1. Heh, I guess I was a anal kid when it came to some of my toys (don’t get me wrong, not all, I had my fair share of trashed stuff). I do remember keeping the hair on my Barbies really nice, except for one of my first ones that was supposed to be a hair stylist Barbie and had some weird plastic thing in her head to help style her hair… I didn’t understand things, and I cut her hair… didn’t get why it didn’t grow back for awhile lol.

I always looked for other little girls that would play Barbies with me, but then was loathe to let them touch my barbies when I saw the condition they kept the hair on theirs in… offering to brush my dolls hair & asking them not to lol.

        1. Trisha,

I was an anal kid who took very good care of many of my toys (I have most of them still) and I actually did brush out the Barbie’s hair one afternoon. That was like trying to drain the ocean with a sieve.
