Getting Some Time to Play

Photo-A-Day #2359

My friend Adam Cohen of DadaRocks.com turned me on to an event in New York called the Time To Play Holiday Showcase. He told me that I should request to attend so I did. I was able to get on the invite list and I’m headed to New York on Monday for a fun dinner and then on Tuesday to attend the showcase. With all the toys that I have and collections of mine I’m so surprised that I haven’t been to an event like this before. People are always surprised when I tell them I’ve never attended Toy Fair. I should have and now that I’m doing more toy related reviews maybe I will attend but Time to Play will be my first foray into this world and I couldn’t be more excited.

There will be a ton of great toy companies at this event however I wanted to focus on the first one that reached out to me which is Bandai. Bandai is the company that produces Power Rangers toys, Ben 10 toys and their newest crop of toys from the new Thundercats show. It just so happened that the day I picked up four of the new 4″ figures I got an e-mail from Bandai inviting me to stop by their booth at the showcase. I love the look of the 4″ toys they are great with a ton of detail and for the most part very poseable. Wily Kit and Kat aren’t that poseable but Lion-O and Tygra are. I don’t have Pantro or Cheetara yet. I’m excited to see the rest of the toys at the showcase. This weekend I’ll probably be shooting toys this weekend and for the next week I will as well.

  1. Hi,

I also collect toys and I think I love Bandai’s style. I’ll make sure I’ll be there in their next showcase. Do they have toys from Ben10 too?

      1. Great! that makes them more interesting. It’s okay I was reading your post again and didn’t see BeyBlade haha.

I’m excited about Bandai of what will be their new designs. So, you have all from Ben10?
