Photo-A-Day #845 08/01/07, originally uploaded by BenSpark.

A bumblebee visits some pitiful looking flowers, I liked the rich purple color of them however and the capture of the bumblebee’s wings in flight.

  1. What a fabulous photo of the bee in flight.

This is an interesting shot–with the flower and the bumblebee both in focus. Ususally it’s one or the other, or else I’m seeing this wrong. The flower is in the background and the bee in front of it when I look at it.
    Anyway, Happy GTS,

Why thank you very much. As always those ones are happy accidents. Bees are tough.

    Aiyana,
The bee is in the foreground. I took this a while ago but I am pretty sure that is where the bee is.

Not an easy photo to get with a bee in movement.

  6. Drew says:

Blueblue, I think it was pretty much a happy accident.

  7. Sara says:

I like the purple of the petals and the bumble bee in flight is amazing.

Thanks Sara, I really like the happy accident of capturing this bumblebee in flight. The photo is one of my favorites.
