Hanging with the Zetas

Photo-A-Day #1870

I went with Allison and Eva to a nice cook-out. The Zetas are the sorority alumni organization that Allison is a part of. We had a nice time.

While Allison and the Zetas were having a meeting I was hanging out with T.J. and the kids. We were the only guys there and our daughters played together really well as we talked about all things that geek dads do. He told me all about the Dad Tool. What is the Dad Tool – It is the Zibra ZPCOPEN-OR Open It Universal Package Opener (Aff Link). Apparently this thing is great for opening everything as well as being about to unscrew those tiny little battery doors on kids toys. It apparently can do everything. T.J. and I talked about everything while we watched Eva and his daughter play and play and play. they did so well together. she was only a few months older than Eva and it was great watching them play.

We got to talking about TV, movies, toys and comic books, my favorite categories. T.J. Suggested that I would like The Lost Room (Mini-Series) (Aff Link) , which was a Sci-Fi Network miniseries. From his description it sounded really interesting and I am looking forward to watching it soon. We also talked about the TV show that I find as my guilty pleasure: Legend of the Seeker. The show was loosely based on Terry Goodkind’s novel Wizard’s First Rule (Aff Link). I downloaded it on my Kindle. I think it is time to start reading some books for fun once again. I’ve read enough of the feel good, Social Media, Make Money stuff for too long and nothing lately that I’ve read for the love of reading and imagination. Although this is going to be tough to read the book without thinking in my mind of the actors and actresses that play the characters. So I am looking forward to reading this series. This should be fun.
