Houndsgood, one of the members of my IZEA Insiders Crew has donated items to the Saving Shelter Pets, Inc. Auction and she would like me to help spread the word about this program.
Basically the program saves puppies from high kill shelters where they would be euthanized or die from the stress. They do this by intercepting the puppies and fostering them until they are old enough to go to another shelter. Also they spay and neuter the animals at the homes where the puppies come from to help keep this from happening again.
Some of the items that are up for auction include A diamond circle pendant and also a delicious medley of products from Tastefully Simple, called the Simple Traditions.
We won’t be able to go to Strut Your Mutt this year to help benefit our local animal shelter. We’ll be at Disney. I really wanted to go too because I like taking photos of people and their pets at the walk. I’ll have to give my sister some money so we can enter some of the great raffles that they have at the event.
I am doing my part though, I’m working on a website/blog for the Friends of North Attleboro Animal Shelter. I even worked on the logo for it over and over. The site isn’t ready yet but when it is I’ll let you know.

Thanks so much for spreadng the word on the auction. A mere $50 or so gives shots to a puppy, covers transport to rescue, and goes towards not just spaying mom…but all the other dogs and cats in the house too. These pups are living in underserved areas where they would definitely fall through deep cracks. I am proud to be a part of the cause.
I just have to make sure that I don’t bid on every single thing…it sure is tempting!

I will make sure to let you know when the site is up. I think that what you are doing to help is wonderful. Had I won the recent contest from IZEA I’d have had $400 to donate to charities for my online friends. However that didn’t happen. If I can spare some $ I will try and make a donation.

I’d love to help out. The auction sounds like a lot of fun two. I have two adopted dogs and would love to have more, but they’re a ton of work! I’m happy to do what I can in the meantime though, and support a good cause.

We’ve always gotten adopted dogs too. They make great pets. Eva’s favorite dog right now it Taylor or Tay Tay rather as Eva is prone to call her.
