How to Be Everywhere

Photo-A-Day #1860

I’m always so clueless when it comes to identifying flowers so I am hoping that someone who is reading this can help me out.I tried to break out of the mold and stop shooting just photos that focus mostly on highlighting Depth of Field. I did switch the aperture and take more shots however I really didn’t like how the photo looked. So I decided to go with this photo that has a very sharp focus on one of the flowers. What do you guys think?

This has been a week for me to get things done. Today I submitted my proposal to speak at Blog World Expo. My proposed talk is about creating multimedia content for your blog. I want to teach people all many of the ways in which you can host photos, videos and also create audio content. This was a different proposal than what I submitted for the Modern Media Man Summit. For that conference I submitted a proposal entitled Dad as Digital Family Historian. For that one I want to teach people how to use many different media creation tools in order to capture the everyday history found within their own families.

Today I got confirmation that I am attending and speaking at Evo’10 Conference. I’ve got my flight booked and a rented car but not my hotel. I will do that tomorrow. Then I’ll figure out if I need to get a roommate. I could try for sponsorship. I wonder what companies would like me to rep their products at that event.

The other conference is is Affiliate Summit. For that one I am on a proposed panel with some great people like Murray Newlands, Tim Jones, Kris Jones and Eric Schechter. For Affiliate Summit people can vote on which panel they would like to see. So if you would like to see me speak at Affiliate Summit East 2010 then click the up arrow next to this session: Bloggers Successfully Connecting with Audiences and Advertisers. There are some other great sessions that I would really like to see like Podcasting 101 and Connecting Your Community: Online/Off Social Good. Right now we are all in the top 20 and we’d love to stay there I am sure. Voting ends Friday.

Other things I’ve done around the web include posts for Blogging Tips.com and also Royal Tutorial.com. For BloggingTips.com I wrote all about the new plug in that I am using for the Facebook like button. Over at Royal Tutorial.com I took a walk down memory lane and wrote about Buzznet. Buzznet was the place where I hosted photos before I used Flickr and all the other places.

A while back I started writing posts for the Blog World Expo Blog and today the first one I wrote was published. I’m going to structure my posts as ones that give people some advice on how to get the most out of the conference itself like Talk with Everyone. You are never going to know how your interactions are going to pan out in the future. IF you don’t take the chance to talk with everyone then you are going to miss out.

Today we recorded the 15th episode of Geek Dads Weekly.
