I’ve been a bump on a log for far too long. So, today I took out my journey gym and set it up in the garage so that I could start working out again. I had my portable DVD player with the workout on it and at the 15 minute mark the battery died, so instead of a 20 minute workout I had a 15 minute one. Tomorrow I’ll have the DVD player plugged in so that doesn’t happen again.
After that abbreviated workout I went for a walk. I laced up my New Balance Minimus Trail runner sneakers. I also downloaded the Pedometer Ultimate App for my iPhone to track my walk. I walked all around Capron Park. It felt good to get on out of there and walk. The weather was brisk but sunny and nice. I’m looking forward to the Spring and Summer season and spending more time outside.
The App is pretty cool. I upgraded to the full version because it is not only a pedometer but a cyclometer too. I’ve been meaning to get back out on a bike for a while. I got rid of mine but we still have Allison’s. She doesn’t ride it so I’ll ride that one. I snapped some screenshots of the app to show you my walk today. First here is the data screen. I have not calibrated everything because I used the free version first just to see what it was like and didn’t get to calibrate everything because those features are part of the full version, which I bought after the walk (I had to check it out first).
The app includes a GPS component. I was able to track where I was throughout the entire walk and then post to Facebook as soon as I was finished. A pretty nice app overall. Here is a map that tracked the walk.
