Skylanders Giants: Chill

Skylanders is the game of choice in my home. We’ve completely finished collecting all of the Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure figures. Now I’m getting very excited about the next iteration of Skylanders, Skylanders: Giants. I got some great info about the game including some photos of some of the brand new characters. Out of the characters I’ve seen I’m pretty sure that Chill (pictured above) is going to be Eva’s new favorite.

Chill is a new Water Element Skylander. Her powers are ice powers. She can do some pretty amazing things like create ice blocks and send them at her enemies. She can even summon a giant Narwhal to send at her enemies. Chill is a strong and honorable character who is looking to redeem herself for a past mistake. As a member of the Skylanders she is a courageous and strong addition to the Water Element team. Here is Chill’s Official Bio.

Stay Cool!
Element: WATER
Character Type: New Skylander
Skylanders Giants ChillBio: Chill was the sworn guardian and personal protector of the Snow Queen. As captain of the queen’s guard, her many heroic deeds had earned her the respect of the entire Ice Kingdom. But when the Cyclops army began to expand their empire into the northern realms, the Snow Queen was taken prisoner during her watch, and Chill has never forgiven herself for letting it happen.  Ashamed and embarrassed, she left the Ice Kingdom behind and swore never to return until she could reclaim her honor. Now as a member of the Skylanders, she remains courageous and strong, while always on the lookout for her lost queen.

Skylanders Giants is being released on October 21, 2012. With this new game there will be starter sets for new players as well as players who have already played the Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventures game. So what that means is that if you already have a portal of power there are starter sets without them like the Skylanders Giants Portal Owner Pack
.

Skylanders: Giants will be released on Wii, Playstation 3, Nintendo 3DS and XBox 360. The great features of Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure are part of Skylanders: Giants. Those features include the figures having brains so that they can retain their power ups and achievements to be used across multiple platforms. With Skylanders: Giants however there are all new characters including 8 new Giants (One for each element) and 8 new Skylanders (One for each element again) and fan favorites from the original Skylanders game come back as LightCore Skylanders (figures that light up when placed on the Portal of Power).

Never fear though, your original Skylanders figures will work with the Skylanders: Giants game, so all those figures that I’ve collected and many other people have collected are playable in Giants. Check out this photo of a bunch of new figures. I found all the names of them as well as their elements, some I’ve never seen before either.

In the photo you can see half of Tree Rex (A Giant) in the far left. Abover Tree Rex there is Crusher (Earth Element Giant) in the background with Cynder and Trigger Happy behind the Fire Element Giant, Hot Head. Then on the Portal of Power the new Skylander figure is Shroom Boom (A Life Element) and in the child’s hand there is Swarm a new Air Element Giant. On the right side of the Portal of Power there is Jet Vac (Air Element) and Pop Fizz (Magic Element). So many cool new figures are coming and I can’t wait to play this game and tell you all about it.
