Shake the Fish… PAD #1030

Eva and her new rattle. She is holding it so well. Went to movies tonight. Eva spent the night with Memere and Grandfather.

Tonight Allison and I went to see I Am Legend at the local Cinema Pub. I was nervous about seeing it because I have an aversion to scary movies. But I really wanted to see Will Smith’s performance. I had heard that he did some major studying for this role by studying prisoners of war. He learned many of the things that the POWs did to stay sane day in and day out. Smith also studied many people who were in isolation as well. I think his performance was excellent. I wish the movie had been longer though, it was a mere hour and a half.

Today I read a couple of my comics. The best of the lot was issue #10 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 8. This was a comic that read exactly like an episode of Buffy, it was great.

I also read the Transformers Spotlight: Blaster. Wow that was a great comic that added depth to a character that was mainly comic relief in the cartoon. I love what Simon Furman has done with the Transformers. He adds history and character development like no one else. I met him in 2003 at BotCon too. He was very cool and humble.

I am trying to decide if I want to go to BotCon this April. It is Cincinnati, Ohio. I could probably drive there. The set this year is going to be amazing. For one thing they are flipping the allegiances and the Autobots are evil and the Decepticons are good. I can’t wait to see the set. I’ve gotten the set each year since 2005 (I skipped 2004 and got 2003) Now that the sets are so well done it is hard not to get them. Anybody out there going to BotCon 2008? I don’t think it can top 2007 but I’d still like to go. I met some great people this past trip too. I’d like to see them again too.

Allison took this video of Eva last week. She rolled over. So Cute.
