Geckos... PAD #1061

I guess the title should just be Gecko as I only photographed one today. I was commenting that I had not seen as many geckos on this trip as I had seen on our previous visit this past summer. Maybe is was the heat who knows. As I was stating that I had not seen as many geckos I see one clinging to the side of the house.

We were returning from the pool and I had my Xacti with me so I set it to macro and snapped this shot and a couple more. I was able to get pretty close before it tore off and went into the hurricane shutters.

Gecko Cling

Lazy day here today. I kept busy with some posts on BenSpark 2 about the season finale of The Sarah Connor Chronicles: Vick’s Chip and What He Beheld. Both episodes are embedded on the blog, too. I also posted my latest Guest post for IZEA. I’m also working on some videos of our time in the pool today and yesterday.

Geckos are so cool, that’s a cute one ya had there. I saw and commented on your IZEA post, but forgot to ask why everyone was wearing green..? :)

Green was for Saint Patrick’s day as well as for it being a primary IZEA color. The walls are mostly green in the offices. I wish I had known about the costume contest or I would have done it up big.

I have to admit that geckos are pretty cute creatures. I think they have gotten more popular ever since the Geico commercials.

Yes the Geico commercials has helped that out, but they are cute anyway.

That brought back memories. When I lived in AZ those little buggers were on the walls outside my front door all the time. The first time I saw one it freaked me out. LOL!

    Hi Stacy,

It is too bad I wasn’t here when you were at IZEA visiting with your mom. She’s a pretty cool person. I enjoyed visiting her in Indiana. I thought you were further up north. I’m down near Fort Lauderdale now. Thanks for visiting and tagging me.

I’ve never seen a gecko properly before. I like the second picture best, you can really see it’s face.

  10. Drew says:

    Alison,
You can see the face in the second one much better however. I like the 1st one for the more artisitic surreal feel to it. I love photographing geckos because they are so fun to watch.
