80's kid... PAD #1073

Okay, so daughter of an 80’s kid. Eva has a a very cute little jean jacket that Mimi got for her. It has pooh and Tigger on it. She looks adorable in it. She went for a nice long walk around the neighborhood with my parents today. When she got home she was fast asleep in her car carrier. I didn’t want to wake her so I snapped this photo.

Today we had our friends Andy and Rondi over to play a little Wii. We played some Guitar Hero 3 but that is only fun with a group if you have two guitars (IMHO). I really hope that the new version that is All Aerosmith will be sold as a set with another controller. Maybe an Aerosmith themed one.

After we played that we tried out Smarty Pants, a game Allison got for me for Valentine’s Day. To be honest I wasn’t hoping for much from a Wii Trivia game however, playing it with Andy and Rondi was fun because it is much more than a simple trivia game. There are wild cards that you can get and mini games that you can play against other players. It was really very fun. Of course Andy will say that I think it was fun because I won, but it was fun playing the mini games and all the special things as well.

Tonight we had my Great Aunt Millie and Great Uncle Freddie over for Traditional Irish Dinner. I’m going to be on a plane to LA tomorrow morning (1st thing 4:00am wake up to drive to Logan, ouch) for a couple of days (demos for 2 days +2 travel days) so I am going to miss our Saint Patrick’s Day tradition. But we did dinner tonight and it was good. I started the corned beef, cabbage, carrots and potatoes in the crock pot at 8:00am this morning, they went all day till 6:30pm. I boiled everything in beer (as is my custom). I think it all tasted pretty darn good too, one of my best. It topped last year’s by far.

Well, I am off to pack and head to bed, long day tomorrow.

  1. Enjoyed taking Eva for the walk, showed her off a little. Thank you for a wonderful dinner. Have a safe trip. Dad

  2. We enjoyed our walk, fresh air and exercise while spending quality time with Eva. It was great to see Uncle Neil keeping the back entrance to the Insurance agency tidy. He didn’t mind the break to talk to Eva. My dear friend, Heather Johnson was thrilled to see Eva with her green Irish fleece hat on. She was making her Irish soda bread for her traditional meal, and seeing Eva made her day! That’s one of the perks of our neighborhood. You don’t have to go too far without seeing a friendly face.
Your meal was wonderful, Drew and Allison. We really enjoyed the company and the food was great Thanks for the invite.
Have a safe trip, Drew. Looking forward to Eva’s first Easter.
    Love, MOM

  3. Thanks Dad, I made it here okay. No problems, long flight though. Glad that you and mom took Eva for a walk. You tired her out for a few minutes. Dinner was also nice, thanks for suggesting that we ask Millie and Fred.

  4. Thanks Mom,
It is very nice to be in this neighborhood. I learn that more and more with every trip I take. Easter will be very nice this year.

  5. Mr. Fab,
I think that is the trap I have fallen into lately. I haven’t taken photos of other subjects, mostly just EVa. Well, I am in California for the next few days so no Eva photos.
