Ring the Bell… PAD #1104

Ring the Bell... PAD #1104

Today’s April Challenge photo is of the bell on my old firetruck pedalcar. It is in the basement and needs some TLC to get it back to being shiny and new for Eva to play in. I’m not sure if she will play in it eventually but it would make a nice refurb project for me to take on. Not saying that I will be able to do it and not committing to do it. But I’ve been thinking about it because there is no reason to hang on to it unless to fix it up for use.

Allison told me the other day that she can’t wait for April to be over because of all the depressing entropy pictures that I have been taking. I do like the challenge but have to agree. So today when I got home from taking Eva for a walk I sat her in the garden and took these two happy photos.

I'd like to smile

Bright Eyes

We will have to go to Spohr Gardens this summer. I would like to have Allison and Eva sitting on the bench like Allison did back this past summer.

Waiting for Eva

I love this shot because of the intimate moment between mom and her future daughter.

  1. Yeah, that old fire truck would make a good restoration project. Sometimes those old things are worth more in their original condition. Great pictures , as usual.

  2. Angie,
I’ve been training Eva since birth that the camera is her friend. She is even looking when she sees i now and again. I hope that we have no struggles wit it over the years, she’s getting her own as soon as she is old enough.

  3. Thanks Heather,
That photo is one of my favorites. And Eva hit the 6 month mark, the eyes are staying blue. And a lovely blue they really are. 🙂

  4. It certainly would be worth more in the original condition, right now it isn’t worth too much other than a space taker. Glad you liked the photos.

  5. Love your blog. I have always loved photography and have been so busy have gotten away from it. Thanks for the inspiration!

  6. Debra,
If you have a small point and shoot you can have it with you all the time, trying to take a photo whenever and wherever you are can become an addicting habit.

  7. Thanks very much Laura,
I am glad I can share these images with people who appreciate them. I really love how they came out today.

  8. She does look like she’s trained for camera time =) My son always smiles when he sees my pink camera and poses when the flash gets off!

Your wife’s picture is just soothing, you did great capturing such a moment.

    Cheers!

  9. Thank you Maria, I like how I can capture such pure moments with Eva. I hope that she doesn’t start to get too posey and we end up with fake looking photos, but right now they are just right.

And that photo of Allison is one of the favorite ones I have taken.

  10. Thank very much, at first I thought you meant the firetruck but then my brain kicked in and I got your true meaning.
