Beach Babes… PAD #1144

Beach Babes... PAD #1144

Today we were still on Cape Cod and had a very nice day. It was very windy but the sun was shining brightly. Eva slept very well again. People are amazed at how well she sleeps. She’s been a full night sleeper since 8 weeks old. Getting her to nap is another thing entirely. She wants so much to see everyone and be part of everything that she stays awake.

Allison and I took Eva to the beach for some photos for our room at the house. I got my Sigma 70-300mm Macro lens back from my cousin Erin. She used it during a vacation in Hawaii. I love to shoot with this lens because it is fast and I use the Macro to get these shots and blur out the background. You can still tell that we are at the beach but Eva and Allison really pop. I took about 300 of them but here are my favorite four (including the one above.)

Frame worthy
I think we will have to frame this one.

Oh that look
I am in so much trouble when she grows up.

Laughter...
How can you not smile.

I’ve still been flying through The Lighting Thief. Allison finished The LAst LEcture and now we have two bookmarks in the Lighting Thief. I think she plans to overtake me tomorrow while I am at work.

  1. I loved the Lightening Thief. The whole Percy Jackson and the Olympians series is excellent, the 4th one just came out in hardback, and not long ago the third one came out in paperback so I’m working on it (The Titans Curse).

Courtney’s last blog post..Diabetes Sisters Triathlon Team

  2. Great pictures! Then again she is MY granddaughter. Too bad Shelby didn’t get to the beach with Eva,it looked like she enjoyed being with her anyway. We really enjoyed the weekend despite some distractions. You and Allison have a good week.

  3. Thanks Andrea,
I got a bunch more but wading through 300 took more time than expected so there are only these 4.

  4. Allison,
I don’t think you will have the time today judging by what the cats did to the house this weekend.

  5. Courtney,
I saw that there were 4 books in total so far. I am eager to read the rest of them as well.

  6. Eddie,
That lens is a decent one, I love using it. I’m renting some lenses in a couple of weeks form Borrowlenses.com I’m doing tow big weekend shoots and want a fisheye for the subjects (Lighthouses and Hot Air Balloons) I also rented a lensbaby to try it out.

  7. Thanks Dad,
We had a very nice weekend. Sure there were some distractions, there always will be. But we did have a nice time.

  8. The whole Percy Jackson and the Olympians series is excellent, the 4th one just came out in hardback, and not long ago the third one came out in paperback so its good to work on it.

  9. Laura,
Thanks. While we do have plenty of frames in the house I’m not sure if they will all be framed. I have about 200 more that I also really like.

  10. Thanks Elizabeth,
Sigma lenses are definitely a good find, I got them with my camera when I bought the package on eBay, I was lucky on the telephoto but the 28-70 is so so.
And you are right, I am certainly a lucky guy.
