Life is like… PAD #1164

Life is like... PAD #1164

Today was my first Father’s Day. It was a very nice one shared with Allison and Eva and our friends Neil and Andrea. We made our way home today but first we stopped at Cafe Loco for breakfast. The power went out at Tara’s place and I was nervous that we wouldn’t be able to eat at Cafe Loco if their power wasn’t on. Luckily their power was on and I was able to get my Michael Muffin (Egg, Cheese, Bacon on an large English Muffin) which was so delicious. Allison was able to get that Long Boat Key (Omelet with Cheese, Bacon and Avocado) that she’s been excited to eat.

While the Balloon shots never happened we did have a nice weekend and today at Cafe Loco I got a ton of photos for Green Thumb Sundays to come.

Also Allison snapped this shot of Daddy and his little girl stopped at a hiking trail parking lot on the way home. Eva had to eat. And yes, her seat was strapped to the bench for safety (I’m a good dad, people!)

1st Father's Day

Allison and Eva got me a beautiful present for Father’s Day. Allison had a photo from the day after Eva was born made into a pencil and watercolor framed piece of art. I think my father took the photo too. Here is the Photo.

  1. Dawn,
Allison sent me the link to the image. So I included that one the post as well. And thanks for the well wishes. Father’s day was very nice.

  2. That is really unique ! Your wife has great gift-giving taste. It tgurned out really nice ! Hmmm…I may have to look into getting my hubby one of those. Thanks for sharing !

  3. Thanks Dawn,
I asked her where she got it and it is from a site through gifts.com called My Da Vinci. Very cool.

  4. Hi,

That is an awwwwww moment right there! Happy Father’s Day.. It must be great to celebrate your first father’s day! Glad that you had a great time..

Eva is such a beautiful baby! You are so blessed! The pictures are gorgeous as always. And the watercolor gift is a brilliant idea. I’ve gotta dig in through all my old family photos and get one made! Totally awesome! 🙂

  5. Shemah,
The watercolor was a very nice gift and I will cherish that moment forever. It was fun feeding Eva out in the woods. That seat has come in handy so many times. It has more than paid for itself for piece of mind.

  6. now i’m drooling over cherries…this is the 2nd pic of a bowl of cherries I saw in a day.

yeah I can see you are a good father. just the way you look at your daughter while feeding her says a lot.

  7. Happy First Father’s Day Drew! Moments like the one captured above are so precious because they go by so quickly!

You and your daughter seem so caught-up in the moment… or is it the spoon she’s so concentrated on? =) wink wink!!

  8. Girlie,

I saw these at Harlow Farms in Bellows Falls. They looked like perfect fodder for the photo of the day. Many things at the farm were perfect for Photo-A-Day but this was the one I chose.

Thanks, I try and make her smile as often as possible.

  9. David,
I’ve been trying to capture each moment I can each day. I think that Eva was caught up in watching the spoon.

  10. I impressed very much on your photos… now I eager to become a father… but what to do i am just 20 years old boy… i want to compromise my parents first, after that I’ll also be a very good father for my child like you…

  11. This last comment is so ridiculous that I have to point out that while the writer can barely write English they can manage to link to a blog that clearly is written well. It so so laughable I had to post it.
