Photo-A-Day #911 10/06/07

Today I went to the Topsfield Fair with some folks from work. We had a very nice day. And a couple thousand other people had a nice day too. Man, it felt like everyone and their brother was at the Fair. The good, the company, all the food I had to eat, the Winn’s Galaxy of Thrills, taking photos. The bad, so many people, so many people, oh and did I mention the amount of people. I pretty much spent my time taking pictures Winn’s Galaxy of Thrills because there wasn’t anyone in front of me. Seriously I tried to take pictures of the animals but it was to hot and to many people. I’m going to have to go to a small local fair to get good animal photos.

The Galaxy of Thrills was pretty sweet, there was Galaxy Girl and the CyberCycle. It was reall cool watching Galaxy girl being spun around and around 50 feet above the crowd. While she spun in a circle Johnny Rocket rode the CyberCycle and eventually it revved up and went pretty fast. She hung from her arms, knees, feet toes and neck. Very cool. I took a bunch of photos and took the GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr with me and I need to edit and upload all the images so they will be up tomorrow. Check back.

  1. Mike and I tried to go to the Topsfield Fair a couple of years ago. The traffic was backed up so bad, we gave up and turned around, as soon as we found a place to safely do so. We got back onto I-95 and went up to Maine for the day.

I’d still love to go this this someday, but it will have to be in the middle of the week, when there is less traffic.

Glad you had a nice time. And thanks for you condolences on our Stripecat.

  2. It is tough to go to a place like that on the weekend and if I did it again I would certainly go in the morning on a weekday.
