Photo Hunt: Creative 07/28/07
By
Drew | July 28, 2007
Welcome fellow Saturday Photo Hunters. Today I bring you a creative project that I saw at this year’s BotCon 2007. Each year people enter projects that they have done to create new displays that have a Transformer Theme. This year a group created a giant model of Bruticus. Bruticus is a gestalt/combiner transformer team and what that means is he is made up of other transformers. There are five of them in fact, they are a team called the Combaticons. There was a military truck called Onslaught, A space shuttle called Blast Off, a helicopter called Vortex, a jeep called Swindle and a tank called Brawl. These five combined together to form Bruticus.

I don’t like this one as much as the others. Maybe it is my mood today, but this one seems mean and nasty. Your photos are great! Don’t get me wrong!!

Hi there Bounce, Thanks for stopping by. I hope you head to the theater to see the Transformers Movie, it is so worth seeing on the big screen and I hope it dominates the box office there like it did here.

Hi satkuru,

Thanks very much Ami-Chan. I thought they were really fun and so much work went into them.

OMG, it looks GREAT!
It reminds me of “The Family Guy” episode when Peter turned into a transformer guy during a play that he was doing, when he took over Loise’s role as a play director for the Cohog theater.

Cool robot(s)! You have a really nice site.

Thank you very much Chris and tell Thomas to keep up the creative work. I bet those birds are pretty well fed.

Hi Prudence,
That was about 6 feet tall. I’m 5′9 and it was slightly taller than I was. They actually had two large robots there on display, quite some effort to make them I’d say.
July 28th, 2007 at 10:53 pm
Hi Miles,
I would like to play with that robot too. I should have gotten a picture of myself in front of it with my XShot.
July 28th, 2007 at 10:54 pm
tere,
I would hope that it does remind you of the movie, In fact the name of the tank in the movie is supposed to be brawl but is an editing mistake where they ended up showing the name devastator which is another gestalt transformer robot. I hope you liked the movie. I loved it. Thanks for visiting.

Hey there Criz, nope we cannot get over the movie. I for one am so excited that it did so well, that means more will be made. I can’t wait. Thanks for stopping by. I’ll check out your photo and blog as well.

July 28th, 2007 at 11:14 pm
Hi jenny®, yeah that was a very creative project, must have taken long hours and much work to complete.

Meeyauw,
No problem, it is not a nice transformer, it is one of the bad guys for certain. I had another creative image that might be more to your liking.

Those two were certainly creative in their costumes.
