Photo Hunters: Shiny 06/23/07
By Drew | June 23, 2007
Even though he looks sinister, I think this guy is a Maximal. That means that he is a good beast Transformer. I forget the guys name too. I have no idea why I would forget, I have a ton of Transformers and hardly forget a single one.
Today’s theme is Shiny. This is one of my Transformers and it was one of the most shiny ones of the bunch.

It is certainly shiny! Cool shot. :)
June 23rd, 2007 at 8:51 am
Why thanks, and thanks for visiting.
June 23rd, 2007 at 9:10 am
Very shiny indeed! It’s amazing that all the old toys are being made new again for this generation of kids!
June 23rd, 2007 at 9:11 am
Yes the phenomenon is just beginning, next week when the movie comes out it is going to explode.
June 23rd, 2007 at 9:30 am
My sons used to play with Transformers I remember. I doubt whether any of them stayed shiny though!
June 23rd, 2007 at 9:48 am
Hey, Weird how transformers are popular again. When my kids were little 20 years ago. We had lots of transformers.
June 23rd, 2007 at 9:54 am
Not so much weird, there has been a huge following for the Transformers since they first came out, there has been a huge convention every year for the past 10 years. The Transformers are certainly everywhere at the moment because of the hype around the movie but they have always been popular with a large fan base.
Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting.

Great photo–I think my son owns one of those toys (It’s probably broken though) :) Great choice!
June 23rd, 2007 at 10:04 am
I think all little boys and little girls for that matter should have a Transformer sometime in their childhood.
June 23rd, 2007 at 10:13 am
Indeed it looks a little scary, but shiny !
June 23rd, 2007 at 10:27 am
I remember a couple of my grandsons having some of these. Don’t think theirs were as shiny as yours though!
June 23rd, 2007 at 11:06 am
It’s a shiny and colorful transformer. I’m sure my husband and son would appreciate it even more. In fact, they can’t wait to watch the Transformers movie. Have a great weekend!
June 23rd, 2007 at 11:35 am
Who knew that after all these year they would make a movie. (my kids are in their late teens & early twenty’s) I am wishing I still had some of theirs left.
Great take on the theme.
Thank you for the visit, and I have been enjoying your blog/photos. :)
June 23rd, 2007 at 11:54 am
Ah yes, the Transformers – more than meets the eye! My son used to have a ton of these, too, but that was years and years and years ago!
Thanks for visiting mine!
June 23rd, 2007 at 3:51 pm
Good timing! Shiny and just in time for the premiere of the Transformer movie!! ;)
Happy Saturday!
June 23rd, 2007 at 4:27 pm
Well, at first I was a little bit scairt of the Transformer. But then I saw he has pink eyes. That is my favorite color. So, I think that means he is a nice Transformer.
June 23rd, 2007 at 5:53 pm
My old ones aren’t as shiny because I played with them but I have many shiny new ones.
June 23rd, 2007 at 6:00 pm
This one does look scary but it is a good guy over all.
June 23rd, 2007 at 6:01 pm
Ruth, Some of mine aren’t that shiny either. But many of the new ones are.
June 23rd, 2007 at 6:02 pm

Hehe, I’d like to say that my son has these transformers… but alas, it’s my HUSBAND who has the whole “set” (?). My son does love playing with it though ;-) Great subject for this week’s theme!
June 24th, 2007 at 7:33 am
That’s a nice entry. I just can’t wait for the movie to be out this 28th June 2007
June 24th, 2007 at 9:04 am
Hey Mandi, I’m glad to hear that your husband also collects Transformers.
June 24th, 2007 at 9:15 am
Hi Criz, Are you seeing the show in Providence too? The movie doesn’t get a general release till July 3rd. Enjoy the movie, thanks for the comment.
June 24th, 2007 at 12:23 pm
Those transformers are pretty neat things. They are becoming more and more sophisticated too and the idea of them is being used in other applications now!
June 24th, 2007 at 3:14 pm
Hi Drew, been having trouble getting through, i think one of those transformers has something to do with it. By the looks of things you are going to need a bigger room.
Cheers Mark
June 24th, 2007 at 4:49 pm

June 24th, 2007 at 7:04 pm

June 24th, 2007 at 7:52 pm
Meeyauw, Other applications? Do tell. Thanks for the comment.
June 24th, 2007 at 7:54 pm
Hi Mark, Trouble getting through? Was my site loading slowly? I need to pack the Transformers back up soon. No room to display them, that room is our new dining room once we repaint it. I was lucky that it was empty so I could get photographed by the local newspaper. Took 2 days to set up though.
June 24th, 2007 at 8:04 pm
Thanks Cheche, I can’t wait for the movie. Thanks for dropping by.
June 24th, 2007 at 8:05 pm
