The specs show it as .95 meters in macro mode, which could be a bit far.

I&#039;m not sure how it would be for shooting products. You have to get pretty far away just to shoot macro. But it is my favorite lens.</description>

Just did a quick search and the Sigma 70mm-300mm is quite reasonably priced.

Do you know if this lens would be suitable for taking product pictues (small flashlights). I have been looking at some macro lenses for my Canon 400D, but the prices are a bit high.</description>
