The specs show it as .95 meters in macro mode, which could be a bit far.

Might pick one up anyway for general use – looks like a decent lens for the money.

I’m not sure how it would be for shooting products. You have to get pretty far away just to shoot macro. But it is my favorite lens.

Just did a quick search and the Sigma 70mm-300mm is quite reasonably priced.

Do you know if this lens would be suitable for taking product pictues (small flashlights). I have been looking at some macro lenses for my Canon 400D, but the prices are a bit high.
