Praying for… Santa?

Photo-A-Day #1719

At work today a friend of mine brought in cupcakes. The cupcakes had these cute little plastic rings shaped like little plastic mittens. When I got home today I gave them to Eva to play with. Then I tried to take pictures of her hands. A two year old cannot hold their hands still for more than 0.3 seconds, it is a scientific fact I just made up. At first I got frustrated that she wouldn’t hold her hands still. As I followed her hands and got more comfortable in the process of enjoying her enjoying playing with the rings I ended up with some pretty sweet shots.

I'm peeking at you.

You might notice that Eva has a little bit of red on her fingers. A marker exploded on her hands. With her new art cart she is all about markers. Remember what I said about a 2 year old’s hands, yeah those little hands speed up so much more with markers in them. However, with those little hands so much will be created.

Mitten Rings

… and destroyed along the way…. 🙂

On other fronts I want to mention and give some love to two blogs that were crazy enough to let me do guest posts. First my life coach and friend Kim Ann Curtin asked me to start doing some guest posts on her blog The Coach Shoppe. There I wrote my first post titled Making a Commitment Took me on a Journey. Also I finally wrote my first post on Dad-O-Matic, the brainchild of Mr. Chris Brogan. My friend Buck Daddy, The Original Daddy Blogger, hooked me up with the guest posting gig. My first post there is titled Shrink the Distance with Family During the Holidays. I’m pretty excited for both posts and I welcome anyone who has arrived from either of those sites.

    1. Deborah,
Thanks very much. One of the things I always tell people about taking photos of kids is stand back and let them do what they do because Kids are going to do some really amazing and fun things, so be ready to take the shot, just let it happen. I heed my own advice.
