Santa on a Bender

Photo-A-Day #2063

I’m sort of feeling like this bottle these days. Being pulled in so many directions at once. Never mind that it is the holiday season and I just finished up a huge personal campaign on this blog. Never mind that we are looking to buy a house and all sorts of anxiety and guilt and fear are pouring in. Never mind all that because this isn’t a pity party. Because pity parties hold no sway and even if you are in one on your own someone will “helpfully” try to get you out of it. You can’t have a pity party as a modern day dad or even a dad from any era, you stoically suck it up and do what has to be done for the good of everyone that you are responsible for. Either way I’m feeling a little smashed up like the bottle in today’s photo. Maybe tomorrow will be a brighter day.Damn, that really sounded like a pity party.

  1. well drew, take a real deep breath, suck it in real deep, and breathe out slowly. there, now you sucked it up and you let it go 😉

thanks to you i am blogging again, every day a new post! it wasn’t any one thing you wrote, or did… it was your ambition and diligence that inspired me! even when i am dog tired i make myself write something AND post a picture with it. thank you for doing what you do!

    1. Debbie,

Thank you so much for telling me that. I sometimes wonder if anyone really cares whether or not I post. I’ve had a hard time getting the posts up daily and sometimes have to go back but I try to put out something. Good for you for being consistent and blogging so much! That is awesome.

  2. Well, you’re human like the rest of us. Holidays are a stressful time, Having a big blog campaign can also be stressful, and we all know that buying a house is exciting and stressful and scary all at the same time. You have a lot going on and it’s understandable. Yes, taking deep breaths can help. And remember it’s a great day. Everyday.
