Springtime Salamander

Photo-A-Day #2182

Today when I got home I took Eva for a nice walk around the long block route. It was nice to get out in the decent weather. When I got back I helped dad with some drywall. I hadn’t gotten a photo while we were walking so I went around to the backyard and took a photo of this baby Salamander. I was going to try and take a photo of the bigger salamander that was found in Taylor’s dog bowl. It had been there all winter. It woke up when the thaw came but ultimately didn’t make it because I found it all dried up. Poor Salamander.

So today marks my 5,000th post on BenSpark.com. I know it is sort of lame marking these things but that is a ton of writing over the past 8 years. Most of the posts were written during the past six years of photo-a-day posts. I’ve loved writing for this blog and being creative each day. Being able to write my thoughts each day has been freeing.

I also wanted to let everyone know about a contest that we’re doing over at Geek Dads Weekly. We’re doing a giveaway of a Griffin Technology LightBoard for the iPad. It is a pretty fun accessory. Eva loves playing with it. You can enter on our episode #74 of the Geek Dads Weekly Podcast.
