Family Game night just got more funny. We played with the interactive family question game called Hedbanz. This is a funny game where each player knows what the other players are but they don’t know what they are. So, each player has to guess what they are by asking questions. Players can be an Animal, a Food or a Man-Made object.

Gameplay is pretty easy. Each player puts on a headband, selects a card and places the card in their headband. Then the timer is started and the player has that time period to make their guesses. If the player guesses their card then they can select another. The player also gets to give away one of their chips. The object of the game is to get rid of all of your chips. You get more chips if you cannot guess your card in the appropriate time period.

Gameplay is so fun and fast paced. We laughed a lot while playing this especially because I just could not guess what I was. Eva also looks at everyone else’s cards and makes those her initial guesses. It took us a while to catch on to this. So funny. We played again with my sister and Eva was so excited to play the game even though she is younger than the recommended age.

Looks like an easy game for kids and not a lot of pieces to lose and not too expensive. Might be a drinking game for older people.

This is a tough one because we play so many different games! I think overall right now it would have to be Monopoly because we have 3 different versions and alternate playing all of them.

When we get together with the grownups Apples to Apples is the game of choice. When the kids are around it is usually Candy Land.

my favorite one from spinmaster, the makers of hedbanz, is the aquadoodle line….good stuff.

My least favorite is monopoly…too many fights (over my “banking” methods usually).

With my 4 year old, it’s pretty pretty princess. With my wife, it’s cribbage. With friends it’s scrabble.

    Now THAT’s a thorough response!
