I received a Large Zelf toy, Spellinda from Moose Toys to try out and review. I gave this toy to my chief toy tester, Eva and the opinions expressed in this post are 100% our own.

When I came back from Time to Play I had very few toys with me to share with the kids (the saga of that trip has been well documented). I did however get a small blind bag toy Zelf that I gave to Eva. She fell in love with it so I asked my contact if we could get a large Zelf to review. we were sent Spellinda who is a Witch Zelf. She creates potions and spells and is apparently the little matchmaker of the group.

Each Zelf has her own style and her own Zelf power. The powers are things like Bravery, Love and Laughter. We read about Spellinda on her box but all Eva really cared about what styling Spellinda’s hair.

I don’t want to make comparisons but thee were dolls in the 80’s that were quite popular and they had crazy tall hair like the Zelfs. I think that Mimi from the Drew Carey show was very fond of those figures. So yes, the Zelfs look like cuter, more up to date troll dolls.

They are cute and Eva does very much enjoy having one. She enjoys styling Spellinda’s hair and is also excited that there are some little hair clips that she can wear as well. See that little black hair sticking up from the side of Eva’s head. That is one of the clips that came with Spellinda. Spellinda is featured in the first webisode. Eva enjoyed watching that.

I hope that Eva keeps Spellinda up and away from the cats. They have a tendency to enjoy hair play as well. I’ve seen many toys that have fallen prey to those kitties and the ones with crazy hair are their favorites.
