— watch The Dukes of Hazzard every weeknight on CMT
— know the words to The Dukes of Hazzard theme song, Good Ol’ Boys, written and performed on the series by the legendary Waylon Jennings
— serve as media expert on The Dukes of Hazzard for the CMT DUKES OF HAZZARD INSTITUTE: must be available for TV, radio and newspaper interviews to share his or her expertise and passion for THE DUKES OF HAZZARD on CMT
— write The Dukes of Hazzard INSTITUTE online blog for www.CMT.com
— be passionate about The Dukes of Hazzard on CMT
— make appearances at special events such as Dukesfest 2005 in Bristol, TN (June 4-5, 2005)
The job requirements include:
— Must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license — just in case a spin in the famous ’69 Dodge Charger, The General Lee, comes up)
— eligible for work in the United States
— travel occasionally at CMT expense
I already won…me and the Duke boys are retiring to Hazzard County…Bo and Luke…not the ridiculous cousins…(a la Oliver on the Brady Bunch)…Uncle Jesse already built us a new outhouse…
Hmmm. Me thinks you are not as well versed in Hazzard County Lore as you claim. You may be up on your Brady’s but by not naming Coy (Byron Cherry) and Vance (Christopher Mayer) (the Duke Cousins who took over for Bo (John Schneider) and Luke (Tom Wopat) during a salary dispute from 1982 -1983. John and Tom claimed that Warner Bros. cheated them out of their rights and royalties.) you tip your hand at Duke boy ignorance. And thus your elaborate ruse claiming that you are now the offical Duke boy blogger is rendered false.
And it is also of note that Sonny Shroyer (Enos) had a 16 episode show of his own called Enos and he then returned to Hazzard County during the very same episode where Coy and Vance were introduced. Season 5 opener: Episode #87 The New Dukes. Coy and Vance stuck around till episode 105 where the real Duke Boys returned. The fake Dukes were gone by the first commercial.
