Photo-A-Day #982 12/16/07

This is my Dad with Eva. I was trying to get some shots so that the lights would bokeh with a star design. I tried the PhotoJojo DIY – Create your own Bokeh project but didn’t do so well. I also wanted to get a photo of my Dad for the December Challenge. I took this without the flash so I could get a warm tone from the lights of the tree, I like how the lights back lit him as well.

Today it snowed then down came freezing rain and then rain. There was a bunch of it and the roads never did get quite cleared all day. It was a good day to be inside watching the Patriots beat the Jets.

The morning started with a trip to church where the folks on the altar nearly outnumbered the people in the pews. After that a little project around the house and some work on the tree. Then it was downstairs to watch some football have lunch and take a few photos. Here are some photos from the day.

Allison and Eva in front of my parent’s tree, should have moved that envelope, other than that I love the photo.

Eva is very very active and alert these days. Taking this image without a flash so I could get a nice warmth from the tree made it very difficult to capture Eva because she moves so much. I just like how this looks like she is in two places at once.

The little shits tore up this Santa costume while it was being stored in our back room. Now they find it a nice thing to lay on.

Both Eva and daddy were tired after their late night last night. A good little nap after the game was just the right thing to do.

Today voting opened on the Win a GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr Lite and the Win a Mad Gringo Hawaiian Shirt contests. Check out the participants and vote for your favorites. There are some great entries.

Christmas Parties

Yesterday was a busy day. We got a load of wood delivered and Dad, Mike and I stacked it. Then Allison and I started decorating the tree in the dining room. We got the lights and a few other items on the tree, but we still have more to do and there are many other decorations to put out. We took some photos while we decorated.

Later int he afternoon we packed up Eva and dressed her in a Christmas red dress that looked so cute with little black ballerina socks that looked like shoes. We took her to my supervisor’s annual Christmas party. Everyone love her and wanted to hold her. Eva was so alert while we were there and very, very good. I took a few photos while we were there.

After that party we headed over to Amy and Ryan’s for another party and dessert. We played Wii. Here is Liz rocking out the Wii bowling.
