MEGA Bloks Skylanders Swap Force Flynn’s Rescue Ship – The Dread Yacht – Play Set

I received a special package from MEGA Bloks this past week that included five new products. Three of them were from the new MEGA Bloks Skylanders Swap Force line and two from the Skylanders Giants line. The opinions expressed by me are 100% my own.

One of the new toys from the Swap Force line was Flynn’s Rescue Ship. This was the toy that I completely geeked out over at Toy Fair. However, the toy fair one was lighter blue, almost teal and had Swarm instead of Magna Charge. I’m not sure why it isn’t called the Dread Yacht because that is the name of Flynn’s ship. I don’t know why it was held back and the colors changed to a brighter blue but maybe I’ll find out when I start playing Swap Force. Either way, it is a fantastic set, probably he best set so far. Sofia the First in Her First-Ever Primetime Special

SOFIA THE FIRST – “The Floating Palace”

Sofia the First is a staple cartoon in our home. Both Eva and Andrew adore Sofia or “Fia” as Andrew calls her. We DVR every episode so the kids can watch them over and over. Allison and I enjoy the show as well.

One of the recurring aspects of the show is that when Sofia has some trouble her amulet helps call upon the other Disney princesses for help. We’ve seen Cinderella, Jasmine and Belle so far. This isn’t something that happens in every episode, it is something that only occurs when Sofia really needs help. Most of the time she is a pretty capable kid who is the level headed one. But, sometimes she needs a bit of advice or a nudge int eh right direction. That help and advice sometimes comes from another princess.

Well, there is a new special coming on Sunday November 24 at 7pm on Disney channel and then again on thursday November 28th at 7pm on Disney Junior. In this Sofia the First primetime special Sofia and her family go on a royal vacation and along the way Sofia meets another Disney princess, Ariel, the Little Mermaid.
