We said goodbye to Auntie Tara today and headed back home. We had a good flight back. This time I sat with the kids while Allison had the extra seat in the other row. The kids were great on the flight and it was a quick shot back home. We got back and got our car from Pre-flight then went right to Bliss Bros for lunch.

Andrew and Lambie

While we were in the airpoirt, however, Andrew started something new. He asked me to take his photo with his lovey, Lambie. He doesn’t often ask for his photo taken and he wanted to have it taken by the silhouette of the man. The silhouette of the man indicating that it was the men’s bathroom. Sure, why not.

Andrew and Lambie at Bliss

When he arrived at Bliss Andrew again asked me to take his photo with Lambie. This time in front of the cow mural at Bliss. We had a nice lunch, ran into friends and when lunch was over and the ice cream was finished Andrew asked again for a photo.

Andrew and Lambie at Milk Cart

This time he wanted a photo of he and Lambie in front of the Milk Wagon that they have on display inside the store. I asked him why so many photos of he and Lambie. He said that he wanted to have a slideshow of the places he has gone. He came up with this on his own.

On our last full day of vacation we headed from Kentucky back to Nashville. There were a few places that we really wanted to visit and places that Tara wanted to show us. We drove directly to her favorite place to go in Nashville, Burger Up. I found myself gravitating towards the same sort of things on this trip. If there was pimento cheese on anything on the menu I was getting that. And if there was Mexican Street Corn I couldn’t pass it up. I got a pimento cheese burger and we split some friend pickles which were really good.

Burger Up

After lunch we wandered the street to see the different shops. Well, Allison, Eva and Tara went shopping and I took Andrew to a park to play. That was after we had found a few street murals and we stopped to get some photos. These couple murals were across from Burger Up.

When we went over to this mural there was a line and the people there took our photo after we had taken theirs.

Music not War

We didn’t play tourist that much today. We didn’t go to any of the music places around, I hadn’t been to Nashville in years and the city seemed so much bigger now. We did go downtown because there was one thing that Allison really wanted to see and those were the giant wings. We all had our photo taken at the wings. It is a huge mural and there is a line and spots where you stand to take the photos. Here are our photos:

We headed to our hotel where we would stay the night to get up tomorrow for the flight back home. We went to the pool to get cooled off and relax. Then we went to a Mexican restaurant for tacos and more. And they had Mexican Street Corn.

We were all quite tired and so there was no continuation of the Northopoly game. We’ll have to wait until the Summer on the Cape for that.
