Some Chex Samples

I’ve started receiving some boxes of products from General Mills Cereal again. They often send bloggers new products for free to try out and blog about or post images. The box of new product that they sent was the new Peanut Butter Chex. They also sent some peanuts and white chocolate chips so that I could make a snack mix with everything. They included a recipe for A PB & J Snack Mix because they also included a box of Annie’s Homegrown Strawberry Bunny Fruit snacks. I personally do not like gummy textures mixed with crunchy textures. However, I’m going to make the snack mix for the kids and I bet Andrew will be all over it!

I personally like the peanut flavored cereal as cereal but I also like making Muddy Buddies. The first time I made them was from another General Mills Cereal delivery with a Muddy Buddies recipe and all the ingredients. They were so easy to make, too. They were actually a chocolate peanut butter version. I was thinking about taking the Chocolate Chex and the Peanut Butter Chex and the white chocolate and peanuts and some more ingredients to make some extra peanutty Muddy Buddies. I think that may turn out to be pretty good. I’ll have to share the recipe when I make them.

Movie Review: Yesterday

Yesterday

We received a Blu-Ray copy of the movie Yesterday for free to watch and review. Opinions are our own.

Allison and I watched the movie Yesterday for a date night movie night. This is a romantic comedy with an interesting premise. Our main character, Jack gets into an accident at the same time as a global blackout and when he wakes up he realizes that he is the only person who remembers The Beatles. Jack is a singer and songwriter. He takes his knowledge of The Beatles and becomes the greatest singer in the world. However, he soon realizes that this was not what he wanted after all.

The movie was pretty funny and I loved the moments where Jack searched for The Beatles online and there were other strange changes as well. Jack also has a manager in his friend Ellie. As things continue to play out he realizes that he truly loves her but has to figure out how to keep the trappings of fame from changing him completely. There are also some fun performances by Kate McKinnon and Ed Sheeran.

If you love The Beatles then you are going to be in for a treat in this movie. I loved watching it, I thought it was pretty clever and fun. Take a look at the trailer below to get an idea of the movie.p>

You can find even more about the movie below. There are plenty of great extras as well including several of the songs being sung by Hamish Patel who plays Jack. He does an excellent job with the songs. Continue reading Movie Review: Yesterday
