My goddaughter had her 5th birthday today. She wanted a Flamingo themed party. While we did not have anything flamingo related we did have our shirts from Chalk of the Town. Chalk of the town sent us a sampling of their shirts for free to try out and use. I’ve been using them when I make videos so that I can write whatever I’d like and create custom shirts for each video. They sent us the full compliment of the markers along with shirts for the whole family. Allison made the design for my shirt and her shirt. Andrew did his own thing and Eva wanted to wear a dress with fun Flamingo socks that Auntie Tara got her. In the end we were all ready to celebrate Kylie’s birthday in Flamingo style.

Flamingo cake and tshirtsWe had a very nice time at the birthday party. The kids played pretty well together overall. Shelby does an amazing job with all the details of the party. She had flamingo everything down to a Flamingo hand towel in the bathroom. She even made a cupcake cake that looked just like a flamingo. Even though I didn’t get much sleep I wasn’t going to miss my goddaughter’s birthday party.

Eva went down to the Cape with Auntie Tara overnight and so I suggested that Allison take Andrew to see the movie Abominable. I happened to be awake and ended up going to see the movie with them as well. I enjoyed the movie very much. Andrew and Allison also liked it. It was a cute story and I loved the animation. There were some fun laugh out loud moments as well. There was one really cheap gag but I loved it. The Yeti was adorable and I liked the characters a lot. I did get some feelings from it but did not hit me like How to Train Your Dragon did. That movie was something special. I think they tried to get Abominable to be like that but it just wasn’t. It was a very good movie with lots of funny touching moments.

I really loved the violin songs. They were beautiful.
